Eid
–ul- Adha is one of main festival celebrated by Muslims
all over the world. Sacrifice is
offered on Eid-ul-Adha, it is a means by which the person obtains the pleasure of Allah. .
Of course, Surely the sacrificial meat does not reach Allah, but he only
sees the intention of the prisoners behind the sacrifice. Allah likes that the
man spends his halal earned money in his way. The continuation of the sacrifice
lasts for three days, including the day of Eid.
Ibrahim
(A.S) is a Prophet who was commanded by Allah in the dream to
sacrifice his beloved thing in the path of Allah, Ibrahim (AS) showed a
willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (A.S.), (who
later became the Prophet) in the path of Allah. It was a test
for Ibrahim( A.S), in which
there was love for his son on one side and the command of Allah on the other
side. Ibrahim (A.S) only obeyed command of Allah With the intention of
pleasing Allah, they were ready to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail
(A.S.)
Allah is merciful and gracious; He knows the state of
hearts, As soon as Ibrahim (A.S) took the knife and began to sacrifice his son, head
of the angels, Jibril Amin, removed Ismail (A.S) from under the knife with a
lightning fast and replaced him with a lamb. Thus the first sacrifice took
place in the hands of Ibrahim (A.S) after this Jibril Amin narrated the good
news to Ibrahim (A.S) that Allah has accepted your sacrifice. And Allah agreed
with your sacrifice.
Of
course, Allah knows the condition of the hearts and understands very well what
the intention of the person who is sacrificing is. When the person obeys the command of Allah and sacrifices
only for the pleasure of Allah,so surely Allah will be pleased
with him but if the sacrifice is for show then the reward is gone. Sacrifice
should not be done for the sake of honor but should be done as worship of
Allah.
The day of Eid begins with the Eid prayer, offered on the
morning of 10th Dhul Hijjah after the sun rises completely; before the time for
the Zuhr prayer starts. This prayer consists of two rakats and is performed
with complete devotion worldwide.
After doing the Eid prayer, Muslims are meant to sacrifice
the animals and distribute the meat among people. As far as the meat
distribution of the slaughtered animals is concerned the meat division is split
into three parts one part should be distributed to the poor, the other part
should be used for your relative &friends and the third part should be used
in your home. It is useful to distribute meat among the poor.
